New Charity Single of Amazing Grace

Tuesday June 8 2021

A new version of Amazing Grace is being released as a charity single later this week.

Singer and worship leader Steph MacLeod combined John Newton’s classic hymn with the traditional He Is Lord, in a video for Scotland’s National Day of Prayer on June 2.

The song was performed by Steph with Celtic Worship, as well as singers and musicians from churches and organisations across Scotland. Over 40 musicians were involved altogether, with Steph announcing to his followers ‘We’ve pulled together something REALLY special!’.

Now the track is to be released as a single to benefit the Scottish homelessness charity Bethany Christian Trust on June 11. Steph has a longstanding relationship with the Trust, having been helped by the Bethany Christian Centre in 2006.

The single will be premiered on Steph’s YouTube channel at 8pm on Friday June 11.
