Edinburgh Churches' Refugees Exhibition

Tuesday June 15 2021

A group of Edinburgh churches are staging a multimedia event to mark Refugee Week 2021.

We Cannot Walk Alone has been put together by Meadowbank Parish Church (which is hosting the exhibition), Willowbrae Parish Church, Mustard Seed Church and Abbeyhill Baptist Church, along with Edinburgh City Mission.

Starting tomorrow (Wednesday), it features various exhibits activities encouraging a deeper understanding of the experience of refugees here in Scotland and in their homeland, reflecting the churches’ desire to offer a welcome to New Scots in Edinburgh.

The exhibition is open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12-4pm, and on Saturday (with Syrian food) from 11am-4pm.

Refugee week runs all this week and concludes with Sanctuary (or Refugee) Sunday. The Church of Scotland has produced materials for churches wishing to mark the event on its Weekly Worship site.
