A statement on the Cathedral website says: "In our morning service on the 1st of December we will pause to mark those who have been injured, those who have lost their lives and all of the members of the public and emergency services who have worked so tirelessly, and continue to assist in the rescue operation.
"As [Cathedral Minister, the Rev] Dr [Laurence] Whitley is Chaplain to the Police, and as we have a long standing relationship with the fire and ambulance services, we felt that it was appropriate to focus on this tragic event, and provide support and recognition to those involved."
Dr Whitley told the BBC: "The main purpose of the service is for Glaswegians to come together and express their solidarity.
"Glasgow is a remarkable city, it has tremendous heart and often Glaswegians respond to situations with their heart before they respond in any other way."
At least eight people died and many more were injured when the helicopter crashed into the Clutha Vaults pub at around 10.30pm on Friday.
