Get Set for More Than Gold

With the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow now six months away, the churches' response to the event is moving into a new phase.

More Than Gold's 'Get Set' phase will be launched at events tonight in Edinburgh and on Thursday in Glasgow. The gatherings will include praise and prayer, as well as up to date information and encouragement from each of More Than Gold's programme teams.

More Than Gold is an ecumenical Christian response to the Commonwealth Games, offering prayer, hospitality, pastoral support and chaplaincy, associated events in churches and assistance for churches offering sports opportunities. More information on their website.

The Get Set launches are tonight (Tuesday January 21) in Palmerston Place Church, Edinburgh; and on Thursday January 23 at St George's Tron Church, Glasgow. Both start at 7.30pm.
