Church Mission Partner in Holy Land Discussion

Wednesday June 21 2023

A Church of Scotland mission partner in Israel and Palestine will be on the panel for an online discussion on how to encourage a non-violent future for the Holy Land.

With the situation in the Holy Land again deteriorating, tomorrow night's talk, organised by Pax Christi Scotland, will ask what role the churches and Christians can play in supporting peace.

The panel will consist of the Rev Muriel Pearson, associate minister of St Andrew’s Church of Scotland, Jerusalem and Tiberias; Paul Gibson, who recently volunteered for three months with the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI); and Dr Abdelfattah Abusrour, who grew up in a refugee camp and now runs Alrowwad Community Centre, encouraging non-violent activities and opportunities for creative expression for Palestinian children.

The talk takes place tomorrow, June 22, at 7pm UK time on Zoom. Register in advance to receive a link here.
