A new conference for Christian men will be held in the Borders this autumn.

Borderlands Men’s Christian Conference will take place in Kelso on Saturday September 23. The guest speakers are the Rev Tommy MacNeil, Church of Scotland minister and author of Sleeping Giant, who will be present on the day; and Professor John Lennox, professor of mathematics at Oxford University, an internationally renowned speaker on the interface of science, philosophy and religion. Professor Lennox will join by video link.

The day will also include worship and a panel group discussion, chaired by Mr MacNeil and featuring Borderers from various walks of life who will consider how men can be light and salt in their various contexts.

The conference, run by men from various churches in the Borders, follows a similar event run by and for local women. It is open to all men, whether they are churchgoers or not, with an interest in following Jesus in daily life.

The event costs £20, plus an optional £5 for lunch.
