Replacement ring and cross unveiled

Wednesday February 12 2014

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland has today unveiled the new ring and traditional cross which will replace the original items that disappeared from Edinburgh Airport last year.

Unfortunately the historically significant originals have never been found, despite the Church offering a reward for their return. The replacement cross was created by Margaret King of Edinburgh, and Mrs Hood said the jewellers had done 'a fantastic job'.

She added: “I don’t intend to let it out of my sight. I won’t quite wear it to bed but I will cherish it and look after it well.”
