Free Nativity Play Released

The team behind 10 Must Know Bible Stories have released a new nativity play for churches and schools.

Did It Really Happen? is a free, downloadable nativity play suitable for older primary classes to perform by themselves or alongside a younger class. Performers and the audience are encouraged to factcheck the places, events and people in the story, and given opportunities for deeper thinking and learning about the biblical story of Jesus’ birth.

The play also provides links to technological developments that children navigate in their daily lives, and ideas linking into the children’s learning across the curriculum.

It is available for free download from https://www.scottishbiblesociety.org/shop/digital/did-it-really-happen, along with other Christmas resources.

The 10 Must Know Bible Stories materials were originally developed by Sue Thomson, a Schools Worker based at Aberdeen: St Columba’s Bridge of Don church, through a three-year partnership with local schools. It is now hosted by the Scottish Bible Society.
