Burntisland and Kinghorn Church, Fife, held a service of union and inducted the Rev Jim Reid as the first minister of the newly united church on January 18.

St Ninian’s Church, Dunfermline celebrated three new members and awarded long service certificates totalling nearly 300 years on Sunday.

Long service (below, from left): John Thomson (session clerk), Mary Gerrard (30 years as elder), Marion Halley (40 years as organist, elder), Faye Buchan (30 years as elder, formerly session clerk), Irene Erskine (40 years as elder), Nicky Lynch (22 years Sunday School and youth leader, elder), Alex Erskine (40 years as elder, formerly property convener), Brian Lynch (22 years Sunday School, elder), the Rev Gavin Boswell (locum minister), Sheona Richmond (40 years’ service to the Guild). Not pictured: Brenda Murray (22 years, Brownies leader and elder).


Kirsten Thomsen was admitted by Profession of Faith at the soon to be united Forfar St Margaret’s Church. Kirsten is pictured (centre) with the Rev Margaret Hunt and Evelyn McPhee, session clerk.
