Conveners to Discuss Vision for Church

Friday March 1 2024

The conveners of the Church of Scotland’s Faith Action Programme Leadership Team and Seeds for Growth Committee will be in Aberdeen for the first in a series of ‘Strength for Today, Hope for Tomorrow’ event on Wednesday.

The Revs Tommy MacNeil and Neil Glover will lead a time of worship and workshops in the afternoon, discussing new ways for the presbyteries to encourage and support the local church. This will be open to members of presbytery and local leaders of congregational life.

After a break for dinner, there will then be evening worship open to all.

The afternoon session runs from 2-5pm, and evening worship from 7-9pm. It is a hybrid event, which you can attend either in person at Fountainhall Church at the Cross, Aberdeen, or on Zoom.

The event is the first in a series of meetings at which the two conveners will discuss their visions for the future and hear the plans of local churches. Events in Glasgow and Edinburgh will follow in May.

You can register for the Aberdeen event here.
