A call has gone out for anyone interested in putting together ‘a creative act of Christian worship’ at a Scottish festival this summer.
The Solas Festival, which takes place in Perthshire from June 14-16 with the theme ‘Human Touch’, is seeking proposals by the end of this month. A budget of £400 has been allocated for the worship.
The Solas website states: “Solas is not a religious gathering, but it is rooted in the Christian tradition of faith and community, and we would like to create an opportunity for festivalgoers who would appreciate a moment over the weekend to dig into that tradition together; seeking, sharing and hoping in something bigger than ourselves in ways which allow us to be truly human.”
Founded in 2009 and sometimes described as ‘Scotland’s Greenbelt’, the Solas Festival delivers a programme of music and the arts, activities and conversations, with a commitment to equality and justice.
Proposals for the act of worship, or no more than 300 words, should be sent to chris@solasfestival.co.uk by April 30. For more information visit https://www.solasfestival.co.uk/blog/2023/2/13/solas-festival-2024-worship-proposal-callout
