During Lent, a group from the Scots Kirk Lausanne in Switzerland participated in a global pilgrimage of prayerful solidarity with the people of Gaza, mapping the length of the Gaza coastline (41km, about 25 miles) onto the coastline of Lac Léman, aka Lake Geneva.
Doing so, they joined a network of autonomous Christians groups from 173 cities, walking for an enduring and sustained ceasefire, immediate flow of food, water and humanitarian assistance, release of all Israeli and Palestinian hostages, and the end of occupation.

Five elders have been presented with long service certificates at Cadzow Parish Church, Hamilton. Pictured from left to right: minister, the Rev Dr John Carswell, Hamish Wilson (60 years), Joyce Brain (30), Eleanor Rae (30), Malcolm Young (30). Not pictured: John McCulloch (40).
