The founder and director of the Climate Café® movement will be the keynote speaker at the Annual Gathering and AGM of Eco-Congregation Scotland, on Saturday May 25 in Stirling.
A Climate Café® is an open, inclusive space for people to get together to talk and act on climate change. Beginning in Rural Scotland in 2015, there is now a network of cafés around the world.
Jess Pepper, founder of the movement, was last year featured on the BBC World 100 inspiring and influential women list of global climate pioneers ahead of the COP28 climate conference.
Also speaking at the Gathering, which is themed ‘Sustaining Hope’, will be Lucy Le Roux, Christian Aid Scotland Campaigns and Advocacy Coordinator, and there will also be the opportunity to hear from the National Churches Trust and diverse local churches on their work.
The gathering takes place at Stirling Baptist Church, 67 Murray Place, on May 25 from 10.30am-4pm, with the AGM from 1.15-1.45pm.
Only full members can vote at the AGM but the gathering is open to all. Register at www.ecocongregationscotland.org/agm2024/
