Scottish Churches at Royal Highland Show

                                                                                                   Monday May 4 2015

SCRIPTURE Union, Premier Christian Radio and Street Pastors are among the groups joining Scottish churches at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh next month.

The Churches in Rural Scotland will have a stand at the show at the Royal Highland Showground at Ingliston from June 18 to 21 based around the theme ‘Hear to Listen’. The group is charged with caring for people, sharing Christian resources and leading times of prayer and worship.

Try Praying and Sanctuary First are also among the organisations represented at the stand, which will sit between the main ring and the east gate.

The Rev Andy Campbell, chaplains to the 2015 RHS and a Church of Scotland parish minister in three rural parishes to the west of Stirling said: “God cares of Scottish rural people, from croft to the castle, who experience hardship every bit as real as our urban neighbours. The RHS offers the opportunity to make that known; for folk to connect with Christ from all parts of the nation and for us to offer spiritual, emotional and practical resources.”

An estimated 200,000 visitors will attend this year’s RHS. Learn more about the show at http://royalhighlandshow.org/the-show/
