Moderator Launches New Book to Help Explore Faith

                                                                                                                                    Thursday October 22, 2015

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland will tonight launch a new book geared at helping people explore faith.

Learn: Exploring Faith, part of the Learn series pioneered by the Mission and Discipleship Council of the Church of Scotland will launch at St Salvator’s Chapel at St Andrews University this evening.

The Moderator, the Rt Rev Dr Angus Morrison will join two of the contributors, the Rev Dr Donald MacEwan, chaplain at St Andrews University and Fiona Marks, national representative for the charity Care for the Family at the launch.

Nicola Whyte, who has taken on the role of editing the publication, said: “It was a transformation in the way we approach learning in churches.”

She added: "People are very excited about it because it is addressing real needs in the church and the diversity of its contributors – the fact that it has lots of people contributing from across the church – adds real depth.”

Learn is published by Saint Andrew Press and is available to the public for £10. Introductory pricing offers are available from the Mission and Discipleship Council’s website https://www.resourcingmission.org.uk/shop
