Faith and Musicals at Fringe

Monday August 1

Christian performers from London’s West End will be singing and sharing their stories of faith during a week of shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this month.

West End Has Faith is a gathering of professional performers who wish to share their journey and life experiences. The show combines songs from well-loved musicals with testimony and the retelling of parables and psalms.

Among the cast are West End Has Faith co-founder Katy Treharne (pictured), whose credits include Christine in Phantom of the Opera; and Irene Alano-Rhodes, who has performed in Miss Saigon, The King & I, Jesus Christ Superstar and earlier this year was a finalist on BBC's The Voice.

The show is on from August 22-27 at Edinburgh Elim (Fringe venue 132) on Morningside Road. Performances start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12 (£10 concession, £30 family of four) from the Fringe website, by phone on 0131 226 0000 or box offices on the High Street or Edinburgh University Visitor Centre.
